Cartoon Comic Book Strip Nail Art

Hi everyone! Time for some midweek nail art.  I have these funky Cartoon Comic Book Strip Nail Art to share with you.  My inspiration for this was the old Batman comics you used to be able to get.  I think those comics must have been dead cheesy and wish I could live my life with little action bubbles.  Imagine if you accidenlty smashed a glass in the kitchen and a little action bubble appeared saying "SMASH!" cool eh?  Without further ado though, lets get onto the nail art! ;-)

Top Coats 101

Hi everybody
First off thank you so much for the warm welcome last Wednesday.  I had a great blog launch and all the feedback has been fantastic!
I hope everyone had a great Easter and got loads of chocolate! I'm back today with a comparison/review for you on Top Coats.  One of the most important part of a finished manicure! (No, its not optional either ;-))
It can be difficult knowing which top coat to choose, considering there are so many! I hope this comparison will answer all those questions you have, but if not, then you know what do to - send me an email by clicking here or leave a comment!
So, lets dive right in!
When looking for a good top coat, you look for 3 main things:
1. Fast drying - gone are the days running around your house, blowing your fingers attempting to speed up the drying of your finished mani - we want a top coat that can do this for us!
2. Add a beautiful shine - this is the most important part that really brings the "at home salon manicure" illusion to life.
3. Protect your nail art/manicure - we want our hard work to last. There's nothing worse than putting top coat over nail art for the design to be smudged or dented and therefore wasted.  What we do want is something that will protect this hard work from all elements and help it last a couple of days.

A New Journey...

Hi everybody and welcome to Spangley Nails!

My name is Nicole and I'm 23 from the UK.  I used to be a normal woman who was able to go shopping without wandering around thinking “I wonder if this shop sells nail polish…” I also only owned 9 or 10 polishes and painting my nails was not a passionate obsession like it is now!  I eat, sleep and breathe polish and talk about it from the minute I wake up until the minute I go to bed. No, seriously.

I absolutely love the intricate designs you can create on the tiny canvases that are your fingernails.  So I have decided to make this blog to document what adventures I get up to with my tiny canvases!  It will also give my poor boyfriend a break from having to listen to ramblings about something he really couldn't care less about but pretends to anyway because he loves me :)

To celebrate this first post, I have created these special nails to welcome you, where-ever you are in the world to Spangley Nails...
