Released in 1989, this makes the classic tale of Ariel only 1 year older than me. It is one of the Disney movies that I have to admit to knowing least about, but I am aware (obviously) of the plot, songs, characters and story. There's a funny meme that I've seen floating round the Nail Art Community based on the famous song "Part of Your World." You will find it after the jump.
Fun Fact: Ariel is only occasionally drawn with fingernails - throughout the movie sometimes she has them and sometimes she doesn't! (Look closer next time you watch!) poor soul will never experience nail polish.

I started off by painting my index finger with Sugar Rush, my middle finger with Lychee, my ring finger with Good to Grape and my pinkie White.
For my pinkie finger, I sponged on Kiwi and Damson (tutorial coming soon - I promise!) and stamped the sea shells etc with Konad White and MoYou London Sailor Plate 04.
For Ursula on my ring finger, I added her hair with White and outlined it with Onyx - my favourite black at present. Its quite watery but opaque watery so makes working with it very easy especially for small detailed work like this. Her eye-shadow was done with Hyde Park Crescent and Malibu and her lips with Charing Cross and White again. All details on her face were done with a small striping brush and Onyx (so much love for that polish!)
For Ariel on my middle finger, I added her bikini with Unnamed Purple and added definition with Sweet Tooth. I added her bikini with Lagoon, Hi-Def and Spectrum all mixed in.
For Flounder on my index finger, I outlined him first with Onyx, filled him in with White - so the colours would pop and once that was dry, I added Unnamed Yellow to his body, Malibu for his fins and eyes with Kiwi.
Everything is topped off with a coat of Seche Vite.
Heres the funny Meme I was talking about, how many of you out there can relate to this lol? I definitely can ;-)
I do not own this picture - I got it from Pinterest.
