When I sat down to do my nails today, I actually didn't know which movie I was doing - I was playing around with a couple of ideas but hadn't actually settled on one - then I got talking to my Instagram friend Debbie aka @ladyandthe_stamp and her username obviously got the wheels in my head turning even more! So then she set me a challenge of Lady and The Tramp nails and I'm so glad she pushed me as I really got to see what I was capable of, so thanks for the wee push I needed Mrs - I'm so happy with how these turned out.
Believe it or not, Lady and The Tramp is going to be 59 years old to the day on Sunday (22/06)! That's older than my Mum & Dad! Its a classic movie though, my Boyfriend and I have been wandering around the house singing "We Are Siamese, if you please" all afternoon lol! :-)
Fun Fact: The famous Spaghetti Scene in the movie and the one I have chosen to depict on my nails was nearly cut as Walt Disney didn't like it when he first saw it! Thankfully he changed his mind or I wouldn't be writing this blog post lol.
Polishes Used:
Barry M Gelly - Olive (Pictured)
Essie - All Tied Up
Barry M - White
Ciate - Shooting Star
nails inc - Fenchurch Street
Rimmel - Beige Babe
Rimmel - Style Hunter
Rimmel - Man Overboard
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - Bocha Mocha
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Wet Cement
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - Onyx
Seche Vite
I started off by painting all of my nails with All Tied Up, then using Onyx - my favourite Black polish currently, I drew Lady on my ring finger. I had to fill her in with White after I done the outline then went back to fill her in. Her middle is Olive, her sides are Beige Babe and Ear is Bocha Mocha.
For The Tramp, I done the exact same as I done with Lady and outlined him with Onyx first. Again, I went back and filled him in with White, then added Wet Cement to his mouth area and eye-lids and Man Overbaord to the rest.
Finally for the Spaghetti, I added this with Shooting Star. Using Onyx, I added random lines to make it look like Spaghetti! I coloured the meatballs in with Fenchurch Street. I chose to leave my pinkie blank as I felt there was enough going on on the other fingers. Its all topped off with a coat of Seche Vite.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone, that I work with Polish only. I know alot of Nail Artists use Acryllic Paint but I don't. So honestly, what you are seeing here is patience and polish! :-) I don't know about you, but I'm really happy with how these turned out.
