Before you start, make sure you have everything you need;
Your favourite Base and Top Coat
A matte top coat: Rimmel - Matte Finish
A grey for the base: Rimmel - Grey Matter
A white for the undercoat: Barry M - White
Colours for the umbrellas: nails inc - Chelsea Physic Garden (Blue)
Revlon - Sassy (Green)
Revlon - Cupid (Pink)
Revlon - Electric (Yellow)
Black for outlining: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - Onyx
You will also need a few tools too;
As mentioned above, I will show you how to do the umbrellas and the rain drops, but we'll start off with the umbrella.
Start off by painting your nails with your base coat and letting it dry and then paint all your nails with your base colour of grey.
Next paint just under half of the nail with your white polish. To make the spikes of the umbrella, turn your hand to the side and draw 3 C shapes horizontally across your nail with your detail brush.
Using you detail brush and your yellow polish, paint a triangle into the middle part of the white section you've just painted - it doesn't have to be perfect & it doesn't need to be right down to the edge because we will be outlining that later.
Fill in the other white sections with your pink polish - again, it does not need to be perfect and does not need to go right up to the line.
Using your striping brush and black polish, make a V shape between the colours on your nail.
Same as before, use your striping or detail brush to outline your 3 C shapes at the bottom, making a point at the 2 joining sections.
Still with your striping or detail brush and black polish, make a J shape from coming down from the middle of the yellow section.
To finish your umbrella, add a coat of your matte top coat.
The finishing step of the whole manicure is to add the rain drops, to all nails, but I will show you how to do that on my index finger.
Paint your nails with your base coat of grey, and a coat of your matte top coat.
Using your glossy top coat and dotting tool, add random dots on your matte nail. These can be big or small, random shapes and sizes - just dont go too mad as you still want some of the matte base to show up, and your done!
