Okay, okay, you're probably thinking after reading the title of this post that it can't possibly be the best nail art product ever ever ever - well, let me tell you that it is!
Everytime I use this in my videos, I get so many comments "what's the peel off stuff you're using around your nails?" I will answer that very question in this blog post today!
Simply Peel Latex Barrier, is a latex based liquid that you paint around your nails before proceeding with messy nail art. The idea is, you go crazy, making as much mess as you normally would (or more if you want!) with a gradient manicure, stamping, watermarble or mega glitter placement, but because you applied the latex, it catches the unwanted polish excess from around your finger, then you peel it off and its as if nothing happened!
Before continuing with this review, I must point out that if you have an allergy to latex you cannot use this product! Not to fear, though, there are loads of barrier products out there now which do not contain latex and are PVA Glue based. I found an article, which you can read here by CraftyNail where she explains how you can make your own bottle :-)
On a side note, this is 2 bottles of Simply Peel, but as you can see Bliss Kiss has popped the wrong sticker on the front of the right hand sided bottle - but we'll let them off! ;-)
So, you're about to start a gradient or stamping manicure (I'm using these examples as those are the 2 designs I chose to do for this review), the first thing you want to do after applying base coat and your 2 coats of your base colour is add a layer of Simply Peel around your nail.
One of the benefits of this product is that it goes on white but dries clear, with a hint of glitter - so you know when you're ready to go when you sparkle! Heres a quick swatch on the back of my hand.
For the purposes of this review, and as I mentioned above, I chose to do a gradient manicure and some stamping, to really put this product to the test. I didn't hold back with my mess as you can see from the pictures below.
And finally, here is the 2 manicures, after peeling, after cleaning, after topcoat and finished!
Tell Me More!
Where can I buy Simply Peel? Directly from Bliss Kiss by clicking here.
How much does it cost? 15ml costs $12.47 (roughly £8.65)
Any Coupon codes? Not at this time.
I'm in the UK! How about shipping? Shipping costs $9.18 (roughly £6.37)
How long does it take to arrive? It took around 10 working days for my bottle to arrive to me. Bliss Kiss say international orders can take anything from 1 to several weeks.
Additional Comments: This is now my go to nail art product. I find myself wanting to do more messy nail art just to use this as I know now it takes just as much time to do said messy manicure as it does for me to just paint my nails with a regular polish, one colour, minimal nail art. I absolutely promise you wont be disappointed.
As you can see, I was sent 2 different bottles of Simply Peel, one was the regular "polish brush" applicator and the other was the dropper bottle. The dropper bottle was designed for more control of where you are placing the product, as you squeeze it out and move it around using the top of the bottle. I much preferred the brush application, I felt like I had more control using this method; but each to their own.
Come check me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter where you will see video Tutorials for all of the above manicures in the next coming days.
